The casting process can be simply summarized into the following
steps:
Mold making: Make a mold according to the product design drawings.
The mold can be made of sand mold, metal mold or other materials.
Smelting: Heat the metal material to a molten state.
Pouring: Pour the molten metal into the mold.
Cooling and solidification: The molten metal cools and solidifies
in the mold to form a casting.
Cleaning: Take the casting out of the mold and clean it to remove
burrs, flash, etc.
Inspection: Inspect the casting in terms of size, appearance,
performance, etc. to ensure that it meets the requirements.
In short, casting is the process of pouring molten metal into a
mold and cooling and solidifying it to obtain a metal product of
the desired shape.
